Product Overview
The ACI Communication Services architecture is designed for high availability and scalability. The core components include the Message Router, Protocol Adapters, and Security Manager. The Message Router uses routing tables to direct messages based on message type, sender, and recipient.
Protocol Adapters handle communication over various protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and proprietary financial protocols. 509 certificate-based authentication and RBAC. The system uses a distributed architecture, with components deployed across multiple servers for redundancy.
Configuration files define message formats, routing rules, and security policies. The system uses a combination of in-memory and persistent storage for message queuing and processing. The CLI provides commands for system management, including START, STOP, STATUS, CONFIG, and AUDIT.
Compared to IBM MQ, ACI Communication Services offers specialized financial messaging capabilities and broader platform support, including z/OS and HP NonStop. The system's design ensures that financial messages are processed securely and reliably, even under heavy load. The system's modular design allows for easy integration with existing financial systems and supports a wide range of message formats.
