CopyExport Manager

The architecture of CopyExport Manager is designed to provide a robust and efficient solution for automating tape copy and export operations on z/OS. The core components include the Copy Export Engine, the Audit and Reporting Module, and the Configuration Manager. The Copy Export Engine is responsible for managing the copy and export processes, interacting with the TS7740 tape system through z/OS system calls.

The Audit and Reporting Module provides detailed logging of all tape activities, including copy, export, and configuration changes. This module generates comprehensive audit trails and reports for compliance and operational analysis. The Configuration Manager allows administrators to configure system settings, such as tape copy parameters, export destinations, and logging levels.

The system uses a command-line interface (CLI) for administration. The COPY command initiates a copy operation, and the EXPORT command exports tapes. The system does not expose any APIs.

The product integrates with the TS7740 tape system through z/OS system calls. User management is handled through z/OS security. The product does not use encryption.
