MC-Cube

MC-Cube is designed to enhance DFSMS class-based dataset management within z/OS mainframe environments. It automates storage management decisions by leveraging information collected by Space Cube, optimizing storage utilization and reducing administrative overhead. This automation eliminates the need for manual changes to ACS routines or JCL, minimizing the risk of errors and freeing up IT resources.

MC-Cube integrates with existing z/OS security systems to ensure data security and compliance. The architecture of MC-Cube consists of several key components that work together to provide automated storage management. These components include the data collection module, the decision-making engine, and the policy enforcement module.

The data collection module gathers information from Space Cube, providing real-time insights into storage utilization and performance. The decision-making engine analyzes this data and determines the optimal storage placement for datasets. The policy enforcement module then implements these decisions, automatically managing storage resources.

MC-Cube integrates with existing z/OS security systems, such as RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret, to enforce access control policies. It also provides auditing and logging capabilities for security analysis and compliance reporting.
