PHX-Adders

The architecture of PHX-Adders is centered around three primary components: the Command Processor, the Data Manager, and the User Interface. The Command Processor is the entry point for all user commands, parsing input and directing operations. It supports commands such as ADD, CHANGE, DELETE, BROWSE, and LIST.

The Data Manager is responsible for data storage and retrieval, interacting with VSAM or sequential datasets. It handles data validation based on rules defined in control files. The User Interface provides the interactive environment, accessible through TSO/ISPF, and presents data to the user.

Communication between these components occurs through internal z/OS services, ensuring efficient data flow. Integration with other systems is primarily achieved through batch jobs and TSO/ISPF interfaces. Security is managed through RACF, with user authentication and access control based on RACF profiles.

Administrative tasks are performed through TSO/ISPF panels or batch jobs. The system does not expose REST or SOAP APIs. The control files define dataset structures, field attributes, and validation rules.
