Aviva for Java

The Aviva for Java architecture is designed for scalability and security. The Web Server acts as the entry point, handling HTTP/HTTPS requests and routing them to the appropriate components. The TN3270E Server manages the TN3270E protocol, translating web requests into 3270 data streams and vice versa.

The Session Manager maintains user sessions, ensuring proper state management and connection handling. The Configuration Manager provides a centralized interface for managing system settings, including host addresses, port numbers, security configurations, and session timeouts. Communication between components is primarily internal, using optimized protocols for performance.

The system uses a relational database for storing configuration data and user information. The REST API provides a robust interface for programmatic access, with endpoints for session management, configuration retrieval, and user authentication. The API supports JSON-formatted requests and responses.

The system uses HTTPS for secure communication between the web browser and the server, and supports role-based access control (RBAC) for granular access control. Audit logging captures user actions, login attempts, and configuration changes for security monitoring and compliance.
