Product Overview

The architecture of Eclipse iRepair comprised several key components. The ISPF interface served as the primary user interaction layer, providing a menu-driven environment for users to select datasets, initiate analysis, and execute repair functions. The core processing engine was responsible for interpreting and executing user commands, managing the overall workflow of database operations.

Dataset access modules facilitated interaction with IMS databases and z/OS datasets, handling data retrieval, modification, and storage. Communication between components occurred primarily through ISPF dialogs and dataset I/O operations. The tool did not expose any APIs.

The tool relied on ISPF panels and command-line interfaces for administration. The tool used z/OS security mechanisms for access control. The tool's primary function was to provide a user-friendly interface for database repair and maintenance tasks within the IMS environment.

The tool did not have any direct API integrations.
