The architecture of EZ-Image for IDMS comprised several key components. The Image Manager was the central component, responsible for managing the lifecycle of virtual database images. The Database Interface provided the means to interact with the CA IDMS database, handling data retrieval and modification operations.
The Control File Processor was used to read and interpret configuration settings, including database connection details and image parameters. Communication between these components was primarily through internal system calls and shared memory. The product did not use a REST API.
The main configuration parameters were the source and target database names, image size, and refresh frequency. The product did not have a GUI. EZ-Image for IDMS has been integrated into EZ-DB for IDMS.
