The architecture of EZ-Index Analyzer for DB2 comprised several key components. The Data Ingestion Module extracted historical workload data from the EZ-SQL Warehouse for DB2. This module used SQL queries to retrieve index statistics, query execution plans, and other relevant performance metrics.
The Analysis Engine processed the ingested data to identify index-related performance issues. This engine employed algorithms to analyze index usage, fragmentation, and the impact of missing indexes. The Reporting Interface presented the analysis results through various reports and visualizations.
The tool communicated with the EZ-SQL Warehouse database using standard SQL protocols. The main configuration parameters were stored in a properties file, which included the DB2 subsystem ID, the location of the EZ-SQL Warehouse data, and report generation settings. The tool did not expose any APIs.
The product is not supported; therefore, users should use the features within EZ-DB2 or other performance monitoring tools.
