The architecture of ICCF comprises several key components. The ICCF Command Processor is the core, responsible for receiving, validating, and executing IMS commands. The API Interface provides a programmatic interface for external applications to submit commands.
The Configuration Manager handles system settings, including command authorization and logging levels. These components communicate through z/OS system services. The API Interface uses the z/OS environment for security, including RACF for authentication and RBAC for access control.
The system does not use external databases for command storage; command output and logs are managed within the z/OS environment. The CLI provides administrative access for configuration and monitoring. Network requirements are minimal, as communication occurs within the z/OS environment.
The system's design prioritizes performance and integration with the z/OS ecosystem.
