TASID's architecture centers on its integration with the z/OS environment. The main components are the ISPF interface, the z/OS system, and the underlying system libraries. Communication occurs through ISPF commands, with no external APIs.
It does not use external databases or storage mechanisms. The ISPF interface provides the user interaction layer, allowing users to select options and enter commands. The z/OS system provides the data retrieval capabilities, accessing system information.
The system libraries contain the necessary modules for TASID to function. There are no specific network requirements or ports. Access is controlled through the z/OS security system, which handles authentication and authorization.
TASID does not have built-in logging or auditing capabilities. Installation involves placing the load library into a system or user library accessible from ISPF. Compared to other tools, TASID offers a streamlined approach to system information retrieval, without the complexity of broader system management solutions.
