Product Overview
The architecture of BMC AMI Fast Path Enhanced Online Utilities is designed for efficient DEDB database management on z/OS. The main components include the Online Utilities, Offline Utilities, Fast Path Restart Control Facility, and Lightning X secondary index component. The Online Utilities component provides real-time database management capabilities, while the Offline Utilities component handles batch operations such as reorganization and data loading.
The Fast Path Restart Control Facility ensures data integrity after IMS emergency restarts. The Lightning X component provides secondary index support for faster data retrieval. Communication between components occurs through JCL, control cards, and ISPF interfaces.
