Product Overview

The architecture of OPS/RunMaster is centered around four main components: the Monitor, Rule Engine, Action Processor, and Configuration Manager. The Monitor continuously observes the status of batch jobs, detecting failures based on system events and job logs. The Rule Engine evaluates predefined rules, which are defined in configuration files, to determine the appropriate action to take upon a job failure.

These rules specify criteria such as job names, error codes, and retry limits. The Action Processor executes the restart actions, which can include restarting the job, sending notifications, or escalating the issue. The Configuration Manager handles the storage and retrieval of configuration data, allowing administrators to define and modify job-specific restart parameters.

Communication between components occurs through system services. The system does not use external APIs. , RACF).

All actions are logged for auditing and compliance.
