The 2cSNA architecture is comprised of three primary components: the Data Collector, the Analysis Engine, and the Reporting Module. The Data Collector is responsible for capturing VTAM session data from various sources, including VTAM trace datasets. The Analysis Engine processes the collected data, decoding SNA session traces and identifying potential issues.

This component uses advanced algorithms to analyze communication flows, detect errors, and pinpoint performance bottlenecks. The Reporting Module generates detailed reports and visualizations based on the analysis results. Communication between components occurs via internal z/OS interfaces.

The Data Collector writes raw data to temporary datasets, which the Analysis Engine reads. The Analysis Engine stores intermediate results in VSAM datasets. The Reporting Module accesses these VSAM datasets to generate reports.

The system utilizes a command-line interface (CLI) for administration and control. The CLI commands include START, STOP, DISPLAY, and ANALYZE. The tool integrates with RACF for user authentication and uses RBAC for access control.

The network requirements include access to VTAM and the ability to read and write to z/OS datasets. The tool's design ensures efficient processing of large datasets and provides a scalable solution for SNA session analysis. The API provides programmatic access to the core functionalities, allowing for integration with other systems.
