Product Overview

The eecrypt architecture comprises several key components: the Encryption Engine, Authentication Module, Audit Logger, and Management Interface. The Encryption Engine utilizes AES encryption to protect data in transit. The Authentication Module supports password-based and certificate-based authentication, ensuring only authorized users can access the system.

The Audit Logger records all significant events, including user logins, configuration changes, and encryption/decryption operations. The Management Interface provides both a CLI and a web console for system administration. These components communicate through a secure internal bus.

The Encryption Engine encrypts and decrypts data using AES keys stored in a secure key store. The Authentication Module validates user credentials against a user database. The Audit Logger stores logs in a secure, tamper-proof format.

The Management Interface allows administrators to configure the system, manage users, and monitor system status. The system uses a role-based access control (RBAC) model to manage user permissions. The network requirements include access to the SNA network and the ability to communicate over TCP/IP.

The system uses configuration files to store settings such as encryption keys, authentication parameters, and logging configurations. eecrypt differs from competitors by providing SNA-specific security features and seamless integration with existing SNA infrastructure. The 'encrypt' command encrypts data, the 'decrypt' command decrypts data, and the 'configure' command sets up the system.
