QSORT

The QSORT architecture is designed for high-volume batch processing on z/OS and zVSE/VSEn platforms. The core components include the SORT engine, the VALIDATE module, the PRESORT processor, and the REPORT generator. The SORT engine utilizes mainframe sorting algorithms to efficiently sort large datasets.

The VALIDATE module performs address verification against USPS databases, ensuring accuracy. The PRESORT processor organizes the data according to USPS regulations to qualify for postal discounts. The REPORT generator creates detailed reports on the presorting results.

Communication between components is primarily through data file exchange. Data storage utilizes standard mainframe datasets, such as VSAM or sequential files. There are no exposed APIs.

Security is managed through the underlying operating system's security features, such as RACF, providing role-based access control. The `CONFIG` command and configuration files are used for system configuration. Monitoring is performed using z/OS and zVSE/VSEn system monitoring tools.
