ReACT

The ReACT architecture is designed for high availability and scalability on the z/OS platform. The core components include the ReACT Server, the RACF Interface, the Web Interface, and the Audit Logging module. The ReACT Server is the central processing unit, handling all requests and coordinating operations.

The RACF Interface provides a secure and efficient connection to RACF for authentication and authorization. The Web Interface offers a user-friendly interface for password resets and management. The Audit Logging module captures all password-related events for compliance and security analysis.

Communication between the Web Interface and the ReACT Server is secured using HTTPS. The ReACT Server communicates with the RACF Interface using TCP/IP. The system utilizes a relational database for storing configuration data and audit logs.

The REST API provides a standardized interface for integration with other systems. Key configuration parameters, such as RACF system ID and password policy settings, are stored in configuration files. The administrative interface provides comprehensive tools for managing users, configuring the system, and monitoring its performance.

The system supports horizontal scaling by deploying multiple instances of the ReACT Server behind a load balancer. The architecture is designed to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry best practices.
