The architecture of RLX for DB2 is centered around several key components: RLX/SQL, RLX/TSO, RLX/RRSAF, RLX/ISPF, RLX/NET, and RLX/Compile. These components interact with Db2 through native interfaces. RLX/SQL provides the core functionality for executing SQL statements, while RLX/TSO allows for the execution of TSO commands.
RLX/RRSAF enables integration with the Resource Recovery Services Attachment Facility. RLX/ISPF provides an interface for ISPF panels, and RLX/NET facilitates network communication. RLX/Compile enables the compilation of REXX programs.
Communication between components occurs through REXX function calls and Db2 APIs. Data is stored within Db2 databases. Security is provided by Db2 and z/OS security features, including RACF.
RLX for DB2 does not expose REST or SOAP APIs. The product relies on Db2 configuration files and REXX scripts for configuration.
