The RUPDATE architecture is centered around several key components designed to facilitate non-disruptive management of OfficeVision MVS nodes. The core components include the Update Manager, Configuration Manager, and the Status Monitor. The Update Manager is responsible for applying software updates using the `UPDATE` command, coordinating the installation of new versions of OfficeVision components.

The Configuration Manager handles system settings modifications via the `CONFIG` command, allowing administrators to adjust parameters without service interruption. The Status Monitor provides real-time information about the system's operational state, accessible through the `STATUS` command. These components communicate via a native API, enabling seamless interaction and data exchange.

The system utilizes configuration files to store settings, such as node addresses and update paths. Security is integrated with the existing OfficeVision security model, using user IDs and passwords for authentication and leveraging role-based access control (RBAC). The system integrates with z/OS logging and auditing systems, ensuring comprehensive tracking of all administrative actions.
