Share Your ExperienceProduct Overview
The architecture of Tivoli Command Center for CICS comprised several key components. The central server was the core of the system, responsible for collecting, processing, and presenting data from monitored CICS regions. Agent components were deployed within each CICS region to gather performance metrics and system information.
A database, typically DB2, stored historical performance data for analysis and reporting. Communication between the central server and the agents used a proprietary protocol. The GUI provided the primary interface for interacting with the system, allowing administrators to view real-time and historical data, configure monitoring parameters, and manage alerts.
Configuration files were used to define CICS regions, set monitoring thresholds, and customize the system's behavior. The product did not expose standard APIs. The main components included the Central Server, CICS Agents, and the Database.
The Central Server collected data from the CICS Agents, which resided within each CICS region. The Database stored historical performance data. The GUI provided the interface for monitoring and management.
