Product Overview
The architecture consisted of several key components: the monitoring agent, the data collector, and the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. The monitoring agent, installed on the z/OS system, collected data from the cryptographic coprocessors. This data included performance metrics, key usage statistics, and hardware status information.
The agent communicated with the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server using TCP/IP. The data collector processed the data from the agent and stored it in the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server database. The Tivoli Enterprise Portal provided a GUI for viewing the data, configuring alerts, and managing the monitoring environment.
Configuration involved modifying configuration files for the monitoring agent and the Tivoli Enterprise Portal. The product is not supported. Users should migrate to Omegamon XE for z/OS for continued monitoring.
