The architecture comprised the Data Protection for Lotus Domino, the z/OS USS Client, and the Tivoli Storage Manager server. The Data Protection for Lotus Domino component interfaced with the Domino server using the Domino API to identify and extract data for backup. The Tivoli Storage Manager server stored the backed-up data, utilizing various storage mechanisms such as disk or tape.
sys` file on the z/OS USS Client configured the connection to the Tivoli Storage Manager server, including the server address, port, and node name. cfg` file specified the Domino server details, such as the server name and data paths.
