Product Overview
The architecture of WBIFN comprised several key components. The WBIFN runtime environment executed message flows, which were defined using the configuration tools. IBM MQ provided the messaging backbone, handling message queuing and delivery.
The administration console provided a GUI for managing the system, including monitoring message flows and configuring security. Db2 was used for storing configuration data and audit logs. Communication between components occurred over TCP/IP.
The system supported various financial messaging standards, including SWIFT FIN and ISO 20022. Security was implemented using authentication, authorization, and encryption. The product is not supported.
Consider IBM MQ and IBM App Connect for similar capabilities.
