ZELDA's architecture is designed for high availability and scalability within the z/OS environment. The Data Migration Manager, Storage Tiering Engine, and Policy Enforcement Module are key components. The Data Migration Manager uses z/OS system services to move data between storage tiers.

The system uses SMF for detailed logging and auditing, providing comprehensive data on migration activities.
Security is managed through the z/OS Security Server (RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret), ensuring secure access and data protection.
