Product Overview
The architecture comprises three main components: the Command Server, Agents, and the Administrative Console. The Command Server is the central component, responsible for receiving commands, authenticating users, and distributing commands to the appropriate Agents. Agents reside on each managed platform (Windows, UNIX, System i, z/OS) and execute commands received from the Command Server.
The Administrative Console provides a GUI for configuration, monitoring, and user management. Communication between the Command Server and Agents occurs over TCP/IP. The product uses a relational database for storing configuration data and audit logs.
The Command Server listens on a configurable port for incoming connections. The product supports RBAC for access control, with roles and permissions defined within the Administrative Console. Compared to competitors, it uniquely supports direct REXX execution on z/OS from other platforms.
