The architecture of z/MQCE comprises several key components: the z/MQCE Agent, the Key Manager, and the Configuration Manager. The z/MQCE Agent resides within the MQ address space and intercepts data transmitted over MQ channels. It uses AES encryption algorithms to encrypt and decrypt data.
The Key Manager is responsible for securely storing, managing, and rotating cryptographic keys. It supports key generation and access control. The Configuration Manager provides a CLI for configuring the system, defining channels, and managing encryption settings.
