The architecture of zSecure Command Verifier comprises several key components. The Command Interceptor is the core component, intercepting RACF commands. The Policy Engine evaluates these commands against predefined security policies.
The Audit Log records all command activity and policy violations. The Command Interceptor is implemented as a system task that monitors and intercepts RACF commands. The Policy Engine uses a rule-based system to evaluate commands.
Policy definition files contain the rules that specify which commands are allowed, which parameters are permitted, and under what conditions. The Audit Log stores detailed information about each command, including the user, command type, parameters, and the result of the policy evaluation. The product integrates with RACF for user authentication and access control.
The product does not expose any APIs. Communication between components is handled internally within the z/OS environment. The product uses the z/OS console and configuration files for administration.
There are no specific network ports or protocols required beyond the standard z/OS environment.
