CDB/Auto-Load

The architecture of CDB/Auto-Load is designed for high-performance data loading into Db2 on z/OS. The main components include the Load Engine, Data Processor, Validation Module, and Reporting Module. The Load Engine is responsible for managing the data loading process, reading data from the input datasets, and writing it to the target Db2 tables.

The Data Processor component provides the capability to transform data before loading, including data cleansing, validation, and format conversion. The Validation Module ensures data integrity by checking data against predefined rules and constraints. The Reporting Module generates detailed load statistics and error reports.

Communication between components is primarily through internal interfaces and control blocks. The Load Engine interacts with the Data Processor to apply transformations, and with the Validation Module to ensure data integrity. The system uses Db2 as its primary storage mechanism for the target data.

Configuration is managed through JCL and control cards, which define data sources, target tables, and processing rules. There are no specific network ports required for the core functionality, as the product operates within the z/OS environment. Security is managed through RACF, which controls access to datasets and the execution of commands.

Audit logging is provided to track all loading activities, including user actions and data transformations. Compared to other solutions, CDB/Auto-Load offers superior performance and data processing capabilities, making it ideal for large-scale data loading scenarios.
