EngageOne Compose

The EngageOne Compose architecture is composed of several key components. The Designer is a Windows-based application used for creating and editing document templates. The Generate component is the core engine responsible for merging templates with data and producing output.

The Data Integration layer provides connectivity to various data sources via ODBC and JDBC. The Output Management module handles the formatting and delivery of generated documents in formats such as PDF, PostScript, and others. The system uses a file-based storage mechanism for storing templates, configuration files, and other resources.

Communication between components occurs primarily through file-based interfaces and network protocols such as HTTP and TCP/IP. The Generate component can be deployed on multiple platforms, including z/OS. The platform supports batch processing via a command-line interface and interactive processing through APIs.

The API supports both synchronous and asynchronous operations for document generation and management. The system's design emphasizes scalability and high availability, with options for load balancing and redundancy.
