The architecture of Omegamon II for IMS comprised several key components. The core component was the monitoring agent, which resided within the IMS address space and collected real-time performance data. This agent communicated with the data collector, which processed and stored the collected data.
The ISPF interface provided the user interface for accessing and analyzing the data. The data collector used VSAM datasets for storing historical performance data. Communication between the agent and the data collector utilized a proprietary protocol.
The ISPF interface allowed users to issue commands such as `DISPLAY TRAN`, `DISPLAY DB`, and `DISPLAY SYS` to view specific performance metrics. The product's architecture was designed for efficient data collection and analysis, providing users with a comprehensive view of the IMS environment. This product is no longer supported; consider Omegamon XE for IMS.
