Smart TS XL

The Smart TS XL architecture is designed for scalability and high availability. The main components include the Web Server, Search Engine, Data Connector, and User Interface. The Web Server handles incoming HTTP/HTTPS requests and serves the web interface.

The Search Engine indexes source code and provides fast search capabilities. The Data Connector interfaces with the z/OS, z/VSE, and System i (AS/400) platforms to retrieve source code. The User Interface provides a web-based access point for users.

Communication between components is primarily over TCP/IP. , PostgreSQL, MySQL) for storing metadata and configuration data. File storage is used for indexing source code.

The Web Server can be deployed in a clustered configuration for high availability. The Search Engine can be scaled horizontally by adding more instances. The Data Connector utilizes optimized protocols for efficient data transfer from the mainframe systems.

Security is enforced through HTTPS and role-based access control (RBAC). The system supports integration with existing security infrastructure, including LDAP and Active Directory. The administrative console provides detailed monitoring and logging capabilities, including system performance metrics, error logs, and audit trails.
