The architecture of Striva DETAIL comprised several key components. The client application, installed on non-mainframe systems, initiated SQL queries. The DETAIL server, running on the mainframe, received and processed these queries.
Connectors were used to interface with various mainframe databases, including DB2, ADABAS, CA-IDMS, CA Datacom/DB, and VSAM. Communication between the client and server used a proprietary protocol over TCP/IP. The server translated SQL queries into database-specific commands.
Data was stored in the respective mainframe databases. The client-server model allowed for centralized data access and management. The product is not supported.
