SuperDirectory/VSE

The SuperDirectory/VSE system is built upon a modular architecture designed for efficient VSE library directory management. The core components include the Directory Manager, the Reporting Engine, and the Security Module. The Directory Manager is the central component, responsible for all library operations.

It handles the addition of new libraries via the `ADDLIB` command, removal of libraries using `REMLIB`, and manages the directory structure. The Reporting Engine processes requests from the `LISTDIR` command, generating directory listings in a compact format. This engine optimizes the output to reduce storage space compared to traditional LIBR reports.

The Security Module provides authentication and access control. Authentication is primarily password-based, with audit logging enabled to track all significant events, including user logins, library additions, and removals. The system uses a proprietary storage mechanism optimized for directory data.

Communication between components is handled through internal APIs. The configuration is managed through specific configuration files, which define library paths, access controls, and other system parameters. SuperDirectory/VSE does not expose REST APIs.
