ConicIT

The ConicIT architecture is designed for scalability and high availability. The main components include the Data Collector, the Central Processing Unit (CPU), the Web Interface, and the Database. The Data Collector is responsible for collecting data from various monitoring tools, such as Tivoli Omegamon XE, CA SYSVIEW, and ASG-TMON.

It uses vendor-specific APIs and protocols to retrieve data. The CPU processes the collected data, performs calculations, and generates alerts based on predefined thresholds. The Web Interface provides a user-friendly interface for monitoring and management.

It communicates with the CPU via HTTP/HTTPS. The Database stores the collected data, configuration settings, and audit logs. The database is designed to handle large volumes of data and support efficient querying.

The components communicate using a combination of HTTP/HTTPS and proprietary protocols for internal data transfer. The system supports horizontal scaling of the CPU and Data Collector components to handle increased workloads. The database can be configured for high availability using standard database replication techniques.

The REST APIs provide programmatic access to all monitoring data and configuration settings. The CLI offers advanced configuration options and scripting capabilities. Security is ensured through HTTPS encryption and RBAC.
