The Conduct>It architecture comprises several key components designed for efficient batch application management. The Control Center serves as the central management interface, providing a GUI and CLI for job definition, scheduling, and monitoring. Agents are deployed on target platforms (including z/OS) to execute jobs.

The Repository, typically a relational database, stores job definitions, metadata, and audit logs. Communication between the Control Center and Agents occurs over TCP/IP, ensuring cross-platform compatibility. The REST API allows for programmatic interaction with the system, enabling integration with other applications and automation of tasks.

Security is implemented through RBAC, with user authentication supported via internal credentials and external providers like LDAP. The system uses encryption to protect sensitive data in transit and at rest. The Control Center manages job definitions, which specify the execution parameters, dependencies, and scheduling criteria.
