The architecture of MAINVIEW AutoOperator for IMS is centered around several key components designed for efficient automation and management of IMS environments. The Automation Engine is the core component responsible for executing automated actions based on predefined rules. The Rule Repository stores these automation rules, which are defined using the Operator Console or configuration files.
The Event Monitor continuously monitors IMS system logs, messages, and other relevant data sources to detect events that trigger automated responses. The Operator Console provides a GUI for managing rules, monitoring events, and viewing system status. Communication between components is primarily internal, using z/OS system services and APIs.
The product does not expose a REST API. The system uses RACF for authentication and RBAC for access control. The product integrates with other BMC products.
The Rule Repository stores automation rules. The Event Monitor detects events within the IMS environment, and the Operator Console provides a user interface for monitoring and control. The Automation Engine executes the actions defined in the rules.
