The RRDF architecture comprises three main components: the Data Replication Engine, Log Analyzer, and Recovery Manager. The Data Replication Engine is responsible for the actual data replication process, utilizing TCP/IP for communication. The Log Analyzer processes transaction logs from various sources, including CICS, IMS, and DB2, to identify and replicate changes.
The Recovery Manager coordinates the recovery process at the target site. Data flows from the production site to the recovery site via TCP/IP. The CLI is used for configuration and management.
