Share Your ExperienceProduct Overview
The architecture of Tivoli Command Center for DB2Plex comprised several key components designed to facilitate the monitoring and management of DB2 subsystems. The primary components included the GUI console, the NetView interface, and the DB2Plex agent. The GUI console provided the user interface for all interactions, allowing administrators to view performance metrics, manage database objects, and execute commands.
The NetView interface served as the underlying framework for communication and management, handling the exchange of data between the console and the agents. The DB2Plex agent, running on each DB2 subsystem, collected performance data and executed commands. Communication between the console and the agents used proprietary protocols over TCP/IP.
The product stored configuration data and monitoring data within the z/OS environment, utilizing system datasets for persistent storage. The product is not supported; users should migrate to Tivoli Omegamon XE for DB2, which offers a more modern and robust architecture.
