Co:Z Launcher

The Co:Z Launcher architecture comprises several key components. The z/OS server component, running as a started task, listens for incoming connections from the remote clients. The remote client component, installed on Windows or UNIX systems, initiates connections to the z/OS server.

Communication between the server and client occurs over TCP/IP, using a configurable port. The server utilizes configuration files to manage connection details, security settings, and job parameters. The client also uses configuration files to define its connection to the server.

Data transfer between z/OS datasets and remote files is facilitated through file transfer commands such as `CZGET` and `CZPUT`. The server interacts with z/OS datasets and JES spool files, while the client interacts with the local file system. Authentication is handled via user ID and password, with audit logging available for tracking operations.

The configuration files are critical for defining the behavior of the system, including connection details, security settings, and job parameters. The server and client components work together to provide a robust and efficient solution for integrating z/OS batch processing with remote systems.
