The architecture of eXadas Data Integrator comprised several key components. The eXadas Server acted as the central processing unit, receiving client requests and managing connections to mainframe data sources. The eXadas Client provided the interface for users and applications to submit SQL queries.
Data Access Modules (DAMs) were responsible for translating SQL queries into the appropriate calls for each mainframe data source, such as DB2, IMS, and VSAM. Communication between the client and server occurred over TCP/IP. The server utilized configuration files to define connection parameters, security settings, and data source mappings.
