Product Overview
The architecture of OCA-MQSeries comprises several key components. The IDMS Adapter acts as the interface between the CA-IDMS environment and the OCA-MQSeries. The MQSeries Client handles communication with the IBM MQ queue manager.
The Message Transformation Engine processes messages, converting them between IDMS and MQSeries formats. The Transaction Manager ensures data integrity through coordinated commit and rollback operations. These components communicate using TCP/IP for MQSeries connectivity.
Data storage relies on the CA-IDMS database for configuration and logging. The system requires network connectivity to the MQSeries queue manager, typically using port 1414 or a custom port. Configuration files define connection parameters, queue names, and security settings.
The product supports z/OS and zVSE/VSEn platforms. Monitoring and logging are provided through CA-IDMS facilities and OCA-MQSeries-specific logs.
