OCA-SYSLINK

The architecture of OCA-SYSLINK comprises several key components designed to facilitate workload distribution across a Parallel Sysplex. The central component is the SYSLINK Manager, which handles the overall coordination of workload transfers and communication with other CICS regions. The IDMS Subtasks are responsible for processing the actual workload transfers, interacting with the CA IDMS database and applications.

The CICS Interface provides the necessary connectivity to the CICS regions, enabling the transfer of tasks. These components communicate using TCP/IP, ensuring reliable and efficient data transfer. The SYSLINK Manager uses configuration files to define the target CICS regions, communication parameters, and security settings.

The IDMS Subtasks interact with the CA IDMS database to retrieve and update data related to the workload transfers. Network requirements include standard TCP/IP ports for communication between the components. The system supports authentication mechanisms to secure the communication channels.
