TPS/PCA

The architecture of TPS/PCA is centered around three primary components: the SNA Gateway, the TCP/IP Interface, and the Protocol Conversion Engine. The SNA Gateway is responsible for handling SNA protocol interactions, including session management and data formatting. The TCP/IP Interface manages the TCP/IP communication, including socket connections and data transmission.

The Protocol Conversion Engine is the core of the system, translating data between SNA and TCP/IP protocols. These components communicate internally using proprietary APIs for data transformation and routing. Configuration files are used to define network settings, protocol mappings, and security parameters.

The configuration files are typically text-based and can be edited using a text editor. The system does not use a database for persistent storage; instead, it relies on in-memory data structures for real-time processing. Network requirements include open ports for SNA and TCP/IP communication.

The administrative interface is primarily a command-line interface (CLI), providing commands such as `START`, `STOP`, `STATUS`, and `CONFIG`. The `CONFIG` command allows for detailed configuration of the system.
