Product Overview

The UCCF architecture comprises three main components: the Log Collector, the Report Generator, and the User Interface. The Log Collector is responsible for gathering log data from various sources, including system logs, application logs, and security logs. It supports multiple input formats and can be configured to filter and preprocess data.

The Report Generator processes the collected data, applying user-defined criteria to generate reports. It supports a wide range of report types, including system performance reports, security audit reports, and custom reports. The User Interface provides access to reports and configuration options.

It allows users to view reports, define report formats, and manage system settings. Communication between components occurs through internal interfaces and data exchange mechanisms. The Log Collector writes data to VSAM datasets, which are then accessed by the Report Generator.

The User Interface interacts with both the Log Collector and Report Generator via API calls. Security is integrated at multiple levels, with authentication handled by z/OS security managers and encryption applied to sensitive data stored in VSAM datasets. The system utilizes a command-line interface (CLI) for administrative tasks, including starting, stopping, and configuring the system.

The CLI commands interact with the core components through internal APIs.
