The architecture of Websphere Information Integrator Classic Event Publisher for CA-IDMS comprised several key components. The Event Capture Service monitored the CA IDMS database for changes, utilizing database triggers or log-based change data capture (CDC) mechanisms. The Event Processing Engine transformed and filtered events based on predefined rules, supporting data mapping and enrichment.
The Event Publication Service delivered events to target destinations via Websphere MQ. Communication between components occurred through internal messaging queues and configuration files. The system used CA IDMS as the source database and Websphere MQ for message queuing.
Network requirements included connectivity to the CA IDMS database and the Websphere MQ network. The product is no longer supported.
